Unit of time used in the scenario duration is 1 day.
The task is to put together a plan for a 2-3 day class trip. This involves writing down a schedule, creating a group budget and calculating the costs per person.
One needs to consider transport, catering and activities. Students need to plan three warm meals per day.
A schedule needs to be explicated – there have to be explicit times for the start of the trip, arrivals at museums and other sights, meals, arrival at the overnight accommodation etc. The schedule needs to be complemented with necessary costs (museum tickets – ..., lunch – ..., etc). If any activities are planned for the evening, then these should also be described. In the end, the work is presented to the class. The presentation needs to include all the activities, possibilities and costs. The goal of the presentation is to convince one's fellow students that they would enjoy such a trip.
Variations: a pre-given budget limit and destination. The task can be given to individuals or pairs instead of groups. The work should result in a presentation to fellow students; in addition, one could also hold a vote on going to the trip.
